IP Auditing Companies |
It is important to know what IP your business has. Carrying out an IP audit will tell you what IP you own. This may cover trade marks, brands, patents, trade secrets, copyright, domain names, contracts (including licenses, business information such as customer and marketing lists), and financial information.
A regular audit can help to keep your IP portfolio strong, current and maximize the value of your IP spend. An IP Audit is defined as a systematic review of the IP assets owned, used or acquired by a business. Its purpose is to uncover under-utilized IP assets, to identify any threats to a company’s bottom line, and to enable business planners to devise informed strategies that will maintain and improve the company’s market position. Once the audit is completed, then a register should be kept of your IP rights. For more details see www.wipo.int/sme/en/domcuments/ip_audit.htm.
Firms which have expertise in carrying out IP Audits and are interested to advertise in this space may write to us with full particulars and credentials at nipo@nipo.in. |
